Presidential Pathways Ohio Scenic Byway

52 miles - 1.5 hours to drive or a day to visit the byway

Highlighted by rolling hills, tree-lined cliffs, and beautiful overlooks, the Presidential Pathways Ohio Scenic Byway represents the inspiration and legacies of two former Presidents of the United States: William Henry Harrison and Benjamin Harrison.

The traveler on this byway will first be impressed with the wooded, rolling hills along the way, sometimes ending in steep cliffs with beautiful overlooks. Small-town life is celebrated via town square musical events, country fairs, and craft festivals.

As travelers move along the byway, they will learn about two presidents of the United States: William Henry Harrison and Benjamin Harrison, and how they were influenced by what they saw and how they in turn brought their imagination and influence to bear upon this region. Canals, tunnels and covered bridges built during this period were engineering models for their day. Higher education is the Harrisons' continuing legacy.
