East Fork of the Sevier Scenic Backway

24.2 miles - 2 hours to drive, half a day to explore

East Fork of the Sevier River Scenic Backway follows the river south along the western edge of Bryce Canyon National Park to Tropic Reservoir, a high-elevation lake sitting at about 7,800 feet. The maintained gravel road, generally suitable for passenger vehicles and RVs in good weather conditions, continues to the historic Podunk Guard Station, built in 1928, and to the southern terminus at the clifftop.
